The further you go with God, the less you can take with you.

The Call to Travel Light

Spiritual growth is beautiful — but it’s also costly.

You start realizing that walking closely with God often means walking away from what once felt comfortable.

Old habits, relationships, attitudes — even good things — start to feel too heavy for the next season.

“Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” — Hebrews 12:1

Progress Requires Pruning

God doesn’t subtract to punish you — He prunes to prepare you.

He lightens your load so you can last the journey.

Abraham had to leave his country.

Moses had to leave the palace.

Even Jesus had to leave the crowd to pray.

What To Release as You Go Further

  • The need for approval. You can’t please everyone and obey God at the same time.
  • The weight of regret. Yesterday’s failures can’t enter tomorrow’s promise.
  • Unhealed offenses. Forgiveness frees you to move again.
  • Comfortable compromise. The closer you get to the fire, the more impurities are burned away.

The Promise To Hold On To
